Welcome Note From Principal Librarian
Welcome to the Kenya Water Institute Library, an information center and resource designed to help you throughout your academic and professional journey. Our modern, quiet, spacious, and fitted with comfortable study furniture library is intended to provide students and faculty with access to a diverse collection of books, research materials, and digital resources that enhance the learning experience. KEWI libraries in the four (4) campuses offer vast collections of reading and research material, and the specialized services of friendly, efficient, and helpful staff. The Libraries house more than 500,000 print volumes with water information, as well as electronic books and journals, all classified under the Dewey decimal classification scheme.
The libraries are committed to supporting training at certificate and diploma levels for students, research and consultancy for lecturers and non teaching staff through collection and provision of relevant and up to date information materials.
Libraries staffs are well-trained to cater to the differing needs of KEWI students and water research-oriented communities. The library features a digital library area where users can read e-books and journals. This has allowed us to better serve all of our users, including E-learning students who may not be able to visit the physical library.
I urge you to explore our website to learn more about our services, and please contact us with any issues, recommendations, or ideas that will help us improve our performance. Visit our libraries to meet a team of staff that is committed to meeting your needs.
