Kenya Water Institute- KEWI in collaboration with the Jiangxi Technical Vocation Institute- JAEVI is rolling out exciting Dual Certificate Programs (Tiangong Workshop.) Practicing professionals and KEWI Alumni are encouraged to apply.

The Tiangong Workshop-  Origin

The Kenya Tiangong Workshop originated from a strategic partnership between the Kenya Water Institute and the Jiangxi Applied Engineering Vocational Institute of China.

  • The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on June 24, 2025, in Jiangxi Province, China.
  • It was established to enhance vocational training, technical collaboration, and skills development in water, construction, and digital commerce sectors.
  • The initiative aligns with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

Programs of Offer

The Tiangong Workshop will offer the following programs:

  • Construction Engineering Operations
  • E-commerce

Enrollment Requirements

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) OR
  • KNQF Level 3 Qualification in a related field OR
  • Equivalent qualifiations as determined by the Kenya National Qualification Authority (KNQA

Place of Study

  • KEWI Nairobi Campus, Nairobi, Kenya

Mode of Study

The training is delivered through a blended learning approach, including:

  • Face-to-face practical training
  • Online co-training sessions led by Chinese instructors
  • Multimedia-enabled classrooms with state-of-the-art technology
  • Faculty exchange and joint instruction

Duration of Study

  • 6 Months
