Environmental club

The institute has a vibrant environmental club that seeks to help students become environmentally conscious and enable participation in the institute club activities to develop environmentally skilled, dedicated and responsible citizens who are willing to work, individually and collectively towards achieving high quality of life and environment and impart positive environmental conservation and management skills in the water sector.  The club members participate in cleanups both in the institute and outside campus and participate in national events like world Environmental days, World water day, world toilets day among others

Engineering club

The purpose of KEWI Kisumu Engineering Club is to provide social opportunities to pre-engineering students while promoting academic support and excellence. The Engineering Club also provides networking opportunities to pre-engineering students.

Christian union

KEWI Kisumu has an active Christian Union that seeks to mould responsible and God fearing professionals in the water sector. The mission of the Christian Union is to deepen and strengthen the spiritual life of its members by the study of the Bible, by prayer and by Christian Fellowship. To witness the Lord Jesus Christ as God incarnate and to seek to lead others to a personal faith and commitment to Him through discipleship. To encourage responsible church membership.

Red Cross Club

KEWI Kisumu has an active Red Cross club. The aim of the club is to equip students with the skills, experience, and knowledge that will allow them to effectively contribute to the work of the Red Cross and make a real difference to those in crisis. These skills will also boost their CV and benefit them when pursuing internships/careers both in and outside the humanitarian and NGO sectors!

Sports and Co-Curricular activities

KEWI Kisumu participate fully in Co-curricular activities. The main goal of KEWI Kisumu Co-curricular activities is to fuel student learning and to build important life skills. Skills built, such as social and leadership skills, can enrich a student's academic experience. KEWI Kisumu students participate in intercampus games like football including ladies football, athletics, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, chess, darts, swimming, rugby, basketball, handball among many others. The successfully selected students represent KEWI at KETISA games held in all semesters of every year.
